NEW LAUNCH – Samsung Galaxy A24 Smartphone with 50MP Primary Camera, 8GB RAM

Samsung has added a new entry into their “A” series of Android smartphones, with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A24 smartphone. The launch of the new phone was expected, as the product page went live on Samsung’s Vietnam website, and a support page for the Galaxy A24 was made public on Samsung India’s official site.
Samsung had started updating their A lineup of smartphones for 2023, and recently launched the new Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A34 smartphones. Both the A54 and the A34 will be premium options when compared to the A24, wherein the A34 has a price tag of $350 and the A54 has a price tag of $450.
The Samsung A series of smartphones have consistently been listed on the most-selling smartphones in the world list for a few years now. This is unsurprising as the Galaxy A lineup offers some great options with premium-feeling hardware, competitive software, and an affordable price tag.

Samsung Galaxy A24 Specs, Features, Pricing, and Availability
To give you a better understanding of the Samsung Galaxy A24, let’s take a quick look at what the smartphone offers.
Samsung Galaxy A24 Build
The newly launched Samsung Galaxy A24 features a plastic shell with a matte-feeling rear panel, which helps reduce fingerprint smudges. The phone is available in four different color options, namely: Black, Silver, Green, and Burgundy.
The rear section of the phone features a tri-camera setup along with a single flash unit. The front side of the phone has a display with a teardrop-shaped cutout on top for the selfie camera.
Samsung Galaxy A24 Specifications
Talking about the internal specs, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is powered by the Mediatek MT8781 Helio G99 octa-core processor and has a non-expandable 128GB internal storage option only. You do get options on the RAM front and can choose between either 6GB / 8GB variants. The Helio G99 chipset should be good enough to power the device, consider the expected price point, and should be able to cater to general daily use scenarios and gaming needs as well.
The display up front is 6.5 inches diagonal and is a Full-HD+ Super AMOLED unit that can reach up to a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Even though the display will be crisp, it will still feature a 60Hz refresh rate.
On the camera array at the back, there is a 50MP primary shooter with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultrawide camera, as well as a 2MP macro lens. The camera up front is a 13MP shooter and has an f/2.2 aperture.
The Galaxy A24 will be running on the Android 13 operating system with Samsung’s One UI 5.1.
Samsung Galaxy A24 Battery, Charging, and Connectivity
The battery pack powering the A24 will be a 5,000mAh unit and combined with the less power-hungry internals, should easily last a day or even more with ordinary use scenarios.
The device will also feature 25-Watt charging support, which should help in filling up the device quickly. Unfortunately, that will also be the only option to charge your device, as there is no wireless charging support for the A24. Also, it is important to note that, similar to other Samsung smartphones in the recent past, there will be no charging brick bundled in the box, and will have to be purchased separately.
Samsung Galaxy A24 Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A24 will feature a price tag near the €200 mark, which would be converted to approximately $220 or around ₹20,000, similar to its predecessor the Galaxy A23.
Even though the smartphone has made its official debut on Samsung’s official sites, there is no official word yet on the actual pricing or the expected availability. To know more about it click here.
